ショートムービープラットフォーム「TikTok（ティックトック）」と『ブルーピリオド展～アートって、才能か？～』がコラボ開催した「ブルーアートオーディション」の審査結果を発表いたします。
4月29日～5月29日で開催した「ブルーアートオーディション」には、数多くのTikTokクリエイターから多数ご応募いただき、計6名の作品が入賞しました。
入賞者には、6月18日(土)から寺田倉庫 G1ビルで開催予定の展覧会『ブルーピリオド展～アートって、才能か？～』にて、作品展示や作品のグッズ化などの機会を提供します。
ぜひ会場へ足を運んでいただき、オーディションを勝ち抜いた6名のTikTokクリエイターの作品をご鑑賞ください。

今回のブルーアートオーディションは、TikTokを通じて公募し、TikTok上で作品の応募、解説を加えるという一風変わったスタイルをとった。そのためということもきっと大いに影響し、通常のコンテンポラリーアートとは全く異なる作品群が連なった。
一通り審査を終えての第一印象は、正直戸惑うものだった。
簡単に言えば、現代アートというよりも、日常のデザインやイラストに寄ったものと言おうか。
その中で、ぐっと引き込まれたのが、グランプリを受賞したTsubakiさんの作品群である。未だ絵にも言葉にもならない、しかし内に渦巻くナニモノかを何とかはき出そうとする、もがきのように映った。
準グランプリのソウサイさんの「荒れ狂う世界」もまた、見つけ出した形状を散らし、寄せ、消して。作者のあがった息が、なんとか治まったところを見たような気がした。
何百年も綿々と続く彫刻や油画が今も現代アートの中心であり、美大はそのメディウムによって分科され教育される。
一方で、我々の生活はコンピューターやネットなどその技術の進化によって有史以来の激動の渦の中におり、表現やその媒体も激変している。
本来、アートが「表現の活動」だとするならば、そのメディウムの選択は限りなく広がり、表現そのものも大きく変容して然るべきであろう。
今回のオーディションは、言ってみればTikTokやスマホのインターフェイスそのものがメディウムであり、まさに同時代アートと呼べるのかもしれない。
事実、受賞作品を含めた多くは、最終的な一枚の作品というよりも、その制作過程やそれを取り巻く音やつぶやき、動画の在り様など含めた総合的表現とも呼べ、その15秒程度の中に、否が応でも作家そのものが感じ取られて我々はコミュニケーションをすることになった。
作家の未熟さ、悩み、そんなリアリティ。
我々は、今日、現実的な新しいメディウム、日常の中の表現、生の作家たちと出会ったのだ、と教えられた。
